**Catterina Azzalin** (9 November 1808 – 14 January 1849) was a resident of [[familyhistory:places:zlarin-sibenik-knin-croatia|Zlarin]], an island settlement in the eastern Adriatic. She married **[[people:rocco_ivanov_beban|Rocco Beban]]**, with whom she had a family recorded in the Zlarin family tradition.

Family records place Catterina's birth at Zlarin on 9 November 1808 and identify her parents as **Stefano Azzalin** and **Gaspera**.((Beban family archive, family record for Catterina Azzalin; accessed 21 September 2026.)) The same record gives her death as 14 January 1849, although it does not preserve a place of death.

The surviving 1849 Zlarin marriage register provides independent evidence for her last known family relationship. On 25 June 1849, Rocco Beban married Adriana Dean and was described as the widower of the late Catterina Azzalin.((Državni arhiv u Zadru, HR-DAZD-378, Zlarin marriage register 1579 (1832–1858), page 40, entry 9, 25 June 1849: [[https://www.dazd.hr/archives/INV.BR.1579,ZLARIN,MKV,1832.-1858/00000081.jpg]].)) The entry therefore confirms that Catterina had died by that date.

The family record attributes nine children to Catterina and Rocco. Two entries name Giovanna and Joanna with dates only a few weeks apart in 1840. It is unclear whether these entries record two children or duplicate the same child.
